The hype train on Dallas Cowboys rookie Dez Bryant may have been derailed.
Bryant, the Cowboys’ first-round pick, had to be helped off the field Friday after injuring his right ankle near the end of practice.
Bryant was attempting to make a catch from backup John Kitna in practice when cornerback Orlando Scandrick broke it up and landed on the rookie’s leg. Unfortunately, Bryant didn’t get up after Scandrick made the play.
Bryant, he couldn’t put any weight on the ankle, will have an MRI to determine the severity of the injury.
Despite looking like a star in the making injuries have been a problem for Bryant since his first NFL OTA.
