It should be a wild year for the New York Jets (+130 odds to win the AFC East). They enjoyed a great run last season but have lots of big egos to manage; will they combust? Here is New York’s 2010 training camp outlook.
Rex Ryan quickly transformed the Jets’ defense into the NFL’s top unit. It all begins with Darrelle Revis, a true shutdown corner who can absolutely take out an opponent’s top receiver. The Jets were suffocating against the pass already, but they added Antonio Cromartie from the Chargers; they might be impenetrable now.
Second-year pro Mark Sanchez is the biggest question mark; he has great potential but needs to cut down on mistakes. The running game ranked first. Although Thomas Jones and Leon Washington are gone, they will ably be replaced by Shonn Greene (263 yards, two touchdowns in his last two playoff games).
